Meet Sadie. Sadie’s mum has multiple sclerosis, and Sadie has been caring for her since she was just 5 years old. Sadie does a lot to help her mum, but it’s not easy. She’s often exhausted, she finds it difficult to keep up with schoolwork and she worries about the future. Most of all, Sadie feels alone, even though there are an estimated 700,000 young carers in the UK today. MYTIME exists to level the playing field for young carers like Sadie, by providing them with the support, opportunities and friendship that every child needs and deserves.

I have two primary-aged children of my own and I can't begin to imagine our roles almost being reversed. These young carers are mighty special and selfless children who deserve every bit of the support that MYTIME provide for them, so I'm doing a 10k on 8th October to help raise funds for this amazing charity. Please dig deep and give these young people some of their childhood back!
