Story
Five-year-old Tate from Swansea has Sanfilippo syndrome Type A, a rare form of childhood dementia. Just4Children are racing against time to raise funds for life-changing gene therapy before his condition progresses.
Hi! 💙⚽🏉
We’re asking football and rugby teams to take part in the £1 FOR TATE – TEAMS TOGETHER CHALLENGE 💙
Tate is a five-year-old boy from Swansea who has Sanfilippo Syndrome (childhood dementia), and his family are fundraising to access gene therapy in America.
We’d absolutely love your team to get involved! 💙
HOW IT WORKS:
💷 Ask each player who can to donate just £1 for Tate.
📸 At your next training session or match, take a team photo holding a simple £1 FOR TATE 💙 sign.
💙 Donate the money raised to Tate’s fundraiser.
📱 Post your team photo on social media, tag your club and use #PoundForTate and #TeamsForTate.
🏷️ Nominate 3 other football or rugby teams to do exactly the same!
Then those teams nominate another three, and hopefully we can keep the challenge travelling across Wales and beyond. 💙
Players, coaches, parents and supporters are more than welcome to add £1 too — but there’s absolutely no pressure.
We don’t need one person to find £1 million.
We need a million people to find £1. 💙
If your team would like to take part, please let me know and I can send you the donation link and the £1 FOR TATE sign to use for your team photo.
Thank you so much! 💙⚽🏉
£1. ONE PLAYER. ONE TEAM. ONE MASSIVE DIFFERENCE. 💙
