We’re on a mission to change the lives of learning disabled people for the better. So you and your family can live the best life possible. Your life. Your way

Story

My name is Helen and I appreciate you taking the time to read my story.

I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for Hft. They are a national charity, supporting people with learning disabilities. Their emphasis is on creatively supporting people to live with greater levels of independence and personal fulfilment to live the best lives possible.

Why this charity? Well, I am running with my friend Lucy Solomon, whose son Ben, has a learning disability. I want to see Ben and other young adults like him have as interesting a life as possible which includes the opportunity to work, live fairly independently and have as much fun as the next person.

I'm also running with my Mum in mind. She will be looking down on me and feeling proud that I am supporting young adults as she was an amazing woman who spent her life supporting others.

Any amount you’re willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated.

Thank you Helen 😀🏃‍♀️
