In November 2023 I started as a volunteer at Restore St Helens where I work with a lovely and dedicated team of volunteers who upcycle donated furniture and run the shop. I really enjoy my time there every week and decided I could help raise some much needed funds for the charity.

With this in mind I will be doing (weather permitting) a tandem skydive from 11,000 ft over the Lancashire coastline. I will experience a 30/35 second free fall and reach speeds of up to 120mph before the parachute deploys and I get to admire the views as I descend to the landing point. Bearing in mind I might have my eyes closed for most of this it will be videoed so that even I can watch it back afterwards. 😅

The Hope Centre charity has been working with struggling individuals and families in St Helens since 2004 and now, more than ever need your support to helps us continue our work in the community.

Restore is a sister project of the Hope Centre in St Helens and was established in 2018 to upcycle donated furniture and sell at affordable prices to the local community. It has evolved to so much more now though, through networking with others to assist, support and develop people by offering training, advice and free items to those previously homeless to setup their new tenancies.

Restore are a partner in St Helen’s Council’s Welfare Assistance Scheme and also take commission from customers to upcycle their own furniture. They respond to schools, local churches and groups, housing associations and other CIC’s in need and give help where it is most needed.
