Story
Hi and thank you for visiting my fundraiser page. I have struggled with my mental health throughout the course of my life and have used vital life-saving services like Belfast Samaritans. Thankfully, I am well mentally and physically and lucky to be able to do part of the Camino this October. Im hoping to raise a few pounds whilst trekking in Northern Spain.
I would really appreciate it if you could donate something small to this special organisation as they are a vital lifeline to our local community & those experiencing emotional difficulties who need someone to listen with a non judgemental ear in confidence.
I have been a listening volunteer myself with Samaritans and I have first hand experience of the impact of holding a safe space and providing an empathic and understanding ear can do for its callers. THEY SAVE LIVES.
Samaritans Belfast are fully self funded and do not receive any government funding, therefore any donation you can give will ensure Belfast Samaritans can continue to provide this vital service.
Many thanks, Helen
