Story
This year, I’m taking on a personal challenge and stepping onto the dance floor for Just Dance 2025, supporting Mind Coventry and Warwickshire. Anyone who knows me, knows that dancing has been a passion of mine for a really long time and puts a smile on my face every week. This event is an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone as I perform in front of an unknown audience—que stage fright!
We hear mental health mentioned a lot nowadays, often in the context of its challenges. But mental health isn’t just about struggles—it’s a spectrum, ranging from positive to negative, and it can change as quickly as the weather! For me dancing has been my constant providing me so much happiness, and when needed has been my umbrella to weather the storm so to speak.
By taking part in this event, I hope to share my love of dance, give myself a personal challenge (cos you know I get bored sitting still😆) whilst also highlighting the importance of finding 'your thing' that provides a healthy, positive view of mental health, and when needed is there to help you navigate life’s challenge.
In the words of Meghan Trainor, "I feel better when I’m dancing." 😁
I hope you’ll cheer me on, share my passion and support a charity in our area to help people find their own way to dance through life’s storms!
