Help Musicians is a charity for professional musicians of all genres, both in work and in retirement. We help at times of crisis, but also at times of opportunity, giving people the support they need at the crucial stages that could make or break their career.

Story

I am taking the plunge, literally, in aid of Help Musicians and in memory of my friend and colleague Roger Willey, who sadly passed away last year after a courageous battle with cancer.

Roger was a skilled trombonist, brass tutor, and conductor whose dedication to music inspired many students and colleagues. And he loved an encore!

Skydiving has been on my bucket list for years. When I was 21, my mum told me not to do it. She’s still not happy about it, but my 6 year old has given me his approval after seeing Mummy Pig skydive on Peppa Pig, and now, at 42, I’ve decided it’s time!

By donating, you’ll be supporting Help Musicians to continue their vital work supporting artists through hardship, illness, and beyond.

Please consider donating, every contribution makes a difference.

EDIT: Due to the typical British weather, the jump has been rescheduled for 1 August 2025!

Help Musicians is a charity that loves music and for over 100 years has been working hard to make a meaningful difference to the lives of musicians across the UK. We want to create a world where musicians thrive.
