The Bone Cancer Research Trust is the leading charity dedicated to fighting primary bone cancer.
Our mission is to save lives and improve outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer through research, information, awareness and support.
Story
10 years ago, my very dear friend Lindsay was given the devasting news that she had a very rare bone tumour in her leg. With a fantastic surgeon at RNOH, the oncology team at UCLH, the support from her family and friends and her resilience Lindsay got through this challenging time.
Whilst she has been left with mobility issues, she has never let this stop her and so we are taking part in this walking challenge to celebrate this incredible milestone. It will also, hopefully, mark the month that Lindsay is discharged from UCLH with no more follow up appointments.
Primary Bone cancer is extremely rare and therefore does not receive as much publicity or funding as some of the more common cancers. Unfortunately, this cancer is found mainly in children and young adults so any donation you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page and wishing us luck!
