Story

Did you know someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes?

As many as 4.9 million people are living with diabetes in the UK right now. Together we can dramatically improve diabetes care, help everyone to manage their diabetes well and increase spending on diabetes research.

Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. Its a fight that involves all of us sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. So let's get behind them!

This June I’m doing the London to Brighton Bike Ride in support of Diabetes UK 🚴‍♀️

As most of you know, this charity is incredibly close to my heart 💙 My daughter Marnie lives with Type 1 diabetes. Every single day she deals with finger pricks, carb counting, insulin and constant monitoring. It doesn’t just stop there — it affects her on so many other levels too — but she still handles it like an absolute superstar. 💙

There are so many Type 1 warriors out there who rely on charities like Diabetes UK, and we will be forever grateful for all the research they do.

Every year I try to do something to raise money and awareness for diabetes, but this year I’ve definitely set myself the biggest challenge yet… cycling 55 miles from London to Brighton! 😅 It might be a bit mad, but it’s all for a cause that means the world to us.

I’ll be cycling this June to raise money for Diabetes UK, a charity that supports people living with diabetes and funds vital research to improve treatment and hopefully one day find a cure.

To make it even better, Jamie has agreed to join me for the ride 🙌🏻 so we’ll be tackling those hills together!

If you’d like to support us, any donation (big or small) would mean so much and will go directly towards helping people living with diabetes.

And if anyone fancies joining us for the ride… you’re more than welcome! The more the merrier 🚴‍♂️

Thank you so much for the support — it really does mean a lot to our family 💙
