Story
In recent years two of my colleagues at Rational suddenly passed away due to heart problems. This sad news and the premature loss of my own mum due to heart problems 15 years ago led me to address my own heart health and start cycling, building up my fitness over the past year in order to take on a cycle challenge which just over 12 months ago would’ve seemed impossible.
This September I will be cycling 167 miles / 268 kms from the Brunel Museum in London to Bristol Temple Meads Station. Over 4 days I will follow the Great Western Way along roads, canals, and cycle tracks come rain or shine.
Please help support other people with heart conditions have a different outcome by sponsoring my cycle and donating to the British Heart Foundation. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives.
