Great Western Way Cycle

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

In recent years two of my colleagues at Rational suddenly passed away due to heart problems. This sad news and the premature loss of my own mum due to heart problems 15 years ago led me to address my own heart health and start cycling, building up my fitness over the past year in order to take on a cycle challenge which just over 12 months ago would’ve seemed impossible.

Please help support other people with heart conditions have a different outcome by sponsoring my cycle and donating to the British Heart Foundation. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist,
