At Hope at Home, we believe that no survivor of slavery should ever have to sleep on the streets. We train and support volunteer hosts to welcome a survivor into their homes, preventing homelessness and re-trafficking. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to find a hope and a future.

Story

10 years ago my friend moved out of our home after a year of living with us, into her own flat and ready to start her new life.

She had transformed in the time she lived with us from an anxious, withdrawn woman who couldn’t be in a room with men to laughing at the kitchen table with us and hugging Jared and our boys as a valued family member.

Hope at Home has so far provided over 15,000 nights of safe sleep for people like my friend. Men, women and children who have experienced modern slavery and trafficking and have nowhere else to go.

I’m raising money for Hope at Home because I have seen the difference a safe home, welcome and acceptance make to people who have experienced exploitation. Seeing people have the chance to rebuild their lives is so precious.

I’ve never run a half marathon before and it’s going to be tough. But each step is another commitment to justice, hope and safety.

I’d love you to join me by sponsoring me.

Thank you.
