Story
Update…. Note from Helen…. Sadly on 17th March the most wonderful, beautiful human ever to have lived died at home - knowing he was loved.
We both want to say ‘thank you’ for all the love and support you have given us over the past few weeks and months. He was simply the best person.
Funeral arrangements have been made - please contact me if you need details. Jeremy was involved in planning his ‘party’ as we called it and would love to see as many of you there as possible.
Wonderful wonderful Jeremy 😢
Jeremy’s original note:
I was amazed at the support and sponsorship people gave to Marcel’s 4 back to back park runs. You raised a huge amount for MacMillan and Cobalt. At the time some people were not aware of my condition (terminal cancer) and therefore could not donate and have recently asked about making a donation to a charity on my behalf.
It has been a whirlwind since being fighting fit in mid November to where I am now. Thank you from Helen and I for all your kindness and support.
I have chosen to support Maggies and ask for donations to Maggies instead of flowers at the funeral and for any donations people would like to make now.
Maggie's is a cancer support centre. They provide free, expert, and professional care to anyone with cancer, as well as their family and friends. It offers a calm, non-clinical environment, it provides support groups, psychologists, benefits advisors, and workshops. It offers a welcoming space where you can simply pop in for a coffee and a chat rather than a hospital-like environment. It focuses on holistic care to help people manage the emotional and practical, as well as physical, effects of cancer.
