I am raising money for Home-Start North and West Gloucestershire so that they can continue their amazing work helping struggling families with babies and toddlers in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the Forest of Dean.

At Home-Start North and West Gloucestershire they believe that everyone deserves a fair start in life. Sadly, this is often not the case; inequalities exist through no fault of the families they help.

Home-Start is here to change that.

They connect local volunteers with local families who have a child or children under the age of 5. Their volunteers provide weekly home visits, offering vital practical and emotional support to parents, children, and babies during their most challenging times.

They also run local peer support groups that help mothers who are struggling post birth or who need compassion, comfort and guidance whilst navigating parenthood’s challenges.

Home-Start North and West Gloucestershire turn 5 this year. The 5 for 5 Community Challenge is all about raising money so that they can continue to support families for at least another 5 years.

I am committing to paint 5 oil paintings in 2024 - I used to love all things art but haven't picked up a paintbrush for a very long time. This is a challenge that will give me a creative outlet and a positive way to reconnect with that part of myself - but it will also hopefully raise some money for a charity that I care about very much. Any donations are so gratefully received.
