Helen Story
Hello, everyone! I am incredibly excited to share with you my journey and motivation behind running the London Marathon in 2024. One year ago, I faced a tough decision when I had to defer my dream of running this iconic race due to shin splints. But let me tell you, that setback has only made me more determined than ever to conquer this challenge. What's even more special is that I won't be doing it alone – my brother and I are joining forces to make this marathon count for Young Lives vs Cancer.
We are dedicating this marathon to Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity that tirelessly supports children and young people battling cancer and their families. Their mission, providing emotional, practical, and financial support, is a cause that resonates deeply with us
Thank you for being a part of our journey and supporting this important cause!
Simon' Story
I’ve run more than 20 half marathons in England, Scotland, and the United States over the past two decades. It all started back in 2003 when, as an asthmatic, I decided I wanted to see what was possible and started running. I soon got into it and signed up for the Great North Run as part of the Asthma UK team. Since then, I’ve run half marathons in London, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Atlanta, GA. It’s always been my ambition to run a full marathon and 2024 is the year! I’m a proud member of the Long Lives vs Cancer team and will be running the London Marathon in April. Please help me by supporting this amazing cause
