I’m running the Hastings Half Marathon for the first time to help protect children. Will you support me?

I am usually a 5K kind of runner. But this time I am going far beyond my comfort zone. I am taking on one of the most challenging half marathons in the UK (hills!!), because the cause is too important to ignore.

Today, one in six children is raped or sexually abused. That is not just heartbreaking. It is unacceptable.

The Lucy Faithfull Foundation is the only UK wide charity focused on preventing abuse before it happens. They offer support to people who might harm, help families in crisis, and protect children through education, therapy and expert intervention. Their work is brave, powerful and life-changing.

So I am running. Every mile will ask more of me. But every step is a stand for children who deserve safety, love and a future free from harm.
