ADD International is a disability rights organisation. We partner with organisations of disability activists and help them to access the tools, resources and support they need to build powerful movements for change. In this way we empower homegrown leaders to realise the change they want to see.

Story

UPDATE - success!! The picture now shows Helen on the Summit together with Julius and Gerald, guide and porter. Thank you to everyone for supporting Action on Disability and Development.....

I'm trying to walk to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and raising money for Action on Disability and Development (ADD) International, who work in Tanzania and other countries in Africa and Asia to support disabled people's full inclusion - in education, employment and wider society.

Everyone has the right to an education, to learn, to a future where they can make the best of the life they were born into.

57 million children around the world are not in education, and this applies especially to disabled children. ADD works with disabled people, schools and government to make sure disabled children can participate in education. And ADD supports young disability activists to become the next generation of change makers in their communities, to achieve their leadership potential for years to come - and to support system-wide change so disabled people secure their rights to employment, accessibility and more.

Every penny raised will go to ADD (donations are not funding the trip). Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
