St Michael’s Hospice was there when my family needed it most — this is our way of giving back. My mum who died in 2021 and brother in 2025, were able to end their lives and fight against cancer in the comfort of St Michael’s Hospice. The care, dignity and kindness shown to our family meant everything, and this trek is our way of saying thank you. My dad who sadly died in 2025 was so grateful for the support and care that St Michael’s showed my mum in her last days.

The dedication and compassion shown by the team at St Michael’s Hospice is truly inspiring. This Sahara trek is my and my sister’s way of supporting their incredible work and helping them continue to care for patients and families when it matters most.

From 27th October to 1st November 2026, We’ll be trekking the Sahara Desert, crossing shifting landscapes and climbing the mighty Chigaga Dunes to witness a desert sunrise. We are paying for the trip and all money donated will go directly to St Michael's Hospice, Harrogate to help them continue providing expert care and bereavement support to local families.
