Story
I’m swimming in a 24hr relay to raise money for Level Water – a charity which gives children with disabilities the chance to learn to swim, and would be so grateful for your help with fundraising.
We have set up an Aberystwyth team of eight, consisting of two adults (me being one of them) and six intrepid teenagers, to swim continuously -that's three 1 hour swims each over a 24 hour period.
The swim is at a lake near Cirencester -yes this is an outdoor swim, and for several of the young team members this is the first time for them to do an outdoor swim event.
Swimming is a lynchpin for me, and such an important life skill, both for safety (we live on an island, covered and surrounded by water) and for lifetime exercise (swimming is a 'sport' for life).
There are so many who don't get the chance to access this wonderful activity due to lack of access to pools, teachers, low confidence, lack of finance or a disability.
Every £15 you donate funds one life-changing lesson. That’s why I’m doing this. That’s why your support means so much.
Diolch yn fawr iawn -thank you so much for your help and encouragement!
