Big shock: Helen is making this about cats 🐈

I came across York-based cat rescue charity, Band of Rescuers, about 5 years ago - and 5 lots of adoption papers later, I have so much admiration for the kind, selfless people who keep BORNY running and all they give to allow these poor babies a shot at a better, safer life. They deal with so many challenging and heartbreaking situations and care so deeply for the cats in their care, with animal welfare at the heart of everything they do.

The BORNY team share their lives and their homes to give these babies another chance - with vets bills routinely coming to £2000-5000 a month, before all the other expenses of caring for all their foster kitties while they patiently wait for their forever homes. Anyone who knows me (or maybe has literally just met me once) knows our little rescue squad are my whole world, and without Band of Rescuers their lives would have turned out very differently.
