The Crossing of Knoydart 2025

Crossing of Knoydart 2025 · 2 May 2025
In May, I’ll be part of a team attempting to cross the wild and remote Knoydart Peninsula, in Scotland, in aid of the British Exploring Society – a world-class youth development charity that helps young people, often from challenging or underprivileged backgrounds, build confidence, resilience and life skills through the power of expedition.
The Knoydart Peninsula is only accessible by boat or on foot, making it one of the UK’s most remote places. Over three days, we’ll cover 50km of rugged terrain, 5,400 feet of ascent – including Ladhar Bheinn, one of Scotland’s most majestic mountains – with no mobile signal, no shortcuts, and plenty of challenge.
I was lucky to take part in many expeditions as a teenager, and I know how deeply formative they can be. They helped shape who I am today – building my confidence, curiosity, and independence. I want to help ensure other young people, regardless of background, get that same opportunity to explore their potential.
Any support means the world — thank you so much.
