Educating Children in Banana Village Cambodia

In Banana village, only approximately 50 children currently receive education. Many others are missing the opportunity to benefit from an education and will have very limited career prospects as adults. Education is the best route out of poverty and underpins all of the other sustainable development goals. The existing small classroom building, situated on land owned by the church, has never been completed. Our project aims to raise funds for and build an additional two classrooms and a small teacher’s office, so that all the village children can enjoy an education. If funds permit, we also hope to complete the existing classroom and provide a boundary wall. This is another exciting Mission Direct project partnering with Serve Cambodia and Fellowship of Hope Church Network, which will bring great benefit to a poor community.
Early in 2024, I participated in a building team in Preah Vihear and was delighted to help build a school for rural children who were missing out on education. It was wonderful to witness the joy, energy and enthusiasm of the children who were gaining a school for the first time in their lives. I am looking forward to participating in this mission that will enable more children to enjoy an education.
We are now fundraising for "Banana Village School - Cambodia 2025". My target amount is at least £500 of the £17 000 needed. Our goal is to create a safe, conducive and stimulating learning environment for these rural children.
Your support will make a significant difference in providing better educational facilities for these children and help to raise these families out of poverty. Together, we can help shape a brighter future for the next generation. 🙏
