Story
On 30th December 2023 my father-in-law suffered a cardiac arrest outside Luton Town football ground. This lovely lady, Sue Collins, a senior resuscitation nurse practitioner from Bedford Hospital was walking just behind him that day on her way to the same football match. .She didn’t hesitate to take action and provide the immediate help required and performed life saving CPR. Sue decided to enter the London Landmark Half Marathon to raise much needed funds for the British Heart Foundation and I have made the decision to run with her. There is no way of thanking Sue for what she did that day, but by increasing funds raised for this very worthy charity, I hope that it goes some way towards it.
All money raised will go directly to the British Heart Foundation, and in turn raise awareness/importance of learning CPR, pay for more education/training of CPR, research into all heart conditions, and of course help to buy the vital equipment that is needed to save as many lives as possible.
Neither Sue or me are natural runners. This is a massive challenge for both of us, which we are undertaking to raise as much money as we can. Any donations will be very gratefully received
