Story
The Rogers clan are taking part in this years Myton Hospices Glow for Myton 5K to help them raise vital funds!
As many of you will know Mal had metastatic bladder cancer and we were fortunate enough for her to spend her final hours at Myton Hospice. The difference this made for us as a family was incredible. The compassion and care from all staff ensured Mal was pain free and passed away with dignity with us by her side.
We were shocked to learn that 3 out of 5 people waiting for a bed at Myton dont actually make it there. Mal was waiting for nearly 2 weeks for a bed and literally was there less than 10 hours before she passed away. This is because there are not enough beds open due to funding required. Which is why it is so important to us to help raise funds so other families have the dedicated services they need for their loved ones.
Providing dedicated care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their families, in their inpatient beds and in the community continues to be their primary focus, and they need to raise £11 million this year to do this.
They can't do it without the support of people like us and you so please consider sponsoring us today!
