2024 challenge!

Plaxtol School Association have challenged the school children to raise £2,024 to buy much needed resources for the school.

We have decided to do a sponsored litter pick with our friends. We are friends in year groups 3 &5 and thought about how we could raise money for school but also do something useful. So we thought if we walked around the village and local area and picked up the litter we could improve the local environment.

One of the things we are raising money for is our nurture area which is also trying to improve our school environment. We have just had a lovely big outdoor shelter built on the site and we would like to be able to donate some money for the school to purchase the accessories to make the area into a really nice environment for us to go during our lunchtime and break times. The idea is that the area is a quiet space for reflection, to play quieter games, to read, and to learn during the school day as well.

Ideally, if we raise enough money, we would like to buy some outdoor wooden games and some planters so that we can also grow some plants and other things there too.
