Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance service. We rely on public support to keep flying and responding to time-critical emergencies wherever they occur in Scotland. No one in Scotland should die because help can't get there in time.

Story

May 2026 marks the 1 year anniversary of Bills accident. On 3rd May 2025 he fell off his bike while cycling with our son in the woods. He was Airlifted to Aberdeen Hospital where he was put in coma. He spent 3.5 weeks in intensive care and then Neuro Rehab where he had to learn to walk again. With additional complications with his vocal chords getting paralysed he was eventually discharged form hospital on 31st October.

The reason he is still here today is the quick response time of the air ambulance. The time between Marshalls call getting connected to the emergency services and Bill arriving at Aberdeen Hospital was under 1 hour which is amazing. We will forever be grateful for this service.
