Starlit Walk 2023 · 26 October 2023 ·

Campaign by The Rowans Hospice (RCN 299731)
Rowans Hospice Charity is inviting children to take part in a sponsored Starlit Walk of either 1.5 or 3 miles at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on Thursday, 26 October 2023 to support local Hospice care.

Story

It’s been an incredibly hard year for Scarlett and all of her family. The Rowans have been extremely supportive and now Scarlett, Stanley and I are going to do this walk to hopefully give something back to the wonderful Rowans in memory of our lovely Ciara, all Rowans Hospice provide palliative care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in South East Hampshire. Our hospice carers help improve quality of life for the patient by easing physical symptoms and offering psychological, spiritual and social support to both patients and their loved ones. Hospice care is available round the clock. We receive a very small level of statutory support from the Government, however, almost all of the money needed to provide our services has to be raised through donations and fundraisers.
