Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

My feet are sore!

We are walking 100 miles on the ancient Camino pilgrimage route in Spain. Starting our adventure at Ferrol, to the final destination, the famous Santiago de Compostela.

The journey is taking us up and down hills, through woodland, tiny hamlets, farmhouses and villages... finally reaching The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela on Day 6.

We're following the 'shell', the most well-known and iconic symbol of the Camino.

This is a personal and challenging journey... a true test of endurance and a personal journey of mental and physical achievement!

I've been touched and heartbroken by cancer this year. I've witnessed those nearest and dearest to me struggle to cope with the stress of waiting for results, entering into the unknown and the relentless treatment that makes you feel sick.

While I push ahead to complete my personal challenge. Let's push for a better cancer support for all. I am not asking for a new pair of walking shoes. Please give £8 to Marie Curie, because they do amazing work.
