Story
Helen Westmancoat is Sky Diving for Chain Lane Community Hub via Knaresborough Rotary and Rotary charities!
Chain Lane Community Hub is a vital grassroots charity dedicated to supporting the community of Knaresborough. We have welcomed Ukrainian refugees, helping them settle into our community with compassion and care. However, as a charity, we face an urgent challenge: we must secure 60% of our income each year to continue providing essential services.
Currently, we support older individuals through our Ageing Well project, offer community transport services, and provide digital skills training through our CLICK initiative. With the ongoing cost of living crisis and rising bills, the demand for our services is greater than ever. We are in constant need of funds to keep our doors open and continue serving those who rely on us.
We urgently ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small or large, will make a significant difference in ensuring that Chain Lane Community Hub can continue its mission. Together, we can create a stronger community for everyone in Knaresborough. Join us in this important cause and help us reach our target of £500.
"Helen is a Councillor for Eastfield Ward, Knaresborough Town Council, and a former President of Knaresborough Rotary Club. She started tandem skydiving a few years ago when she was Deputy University Librarian at York St John University for a student support charity and enjoyed the experience so much she has continued to skydive for a variety of charities when she can.
Her last charity tandem skydive was for Resurrected Bites. She always encourages others to have a go, so if anyone else would like to join her for this latest jump, please let us know."
