In June 2025 my self and 2 work friends Kelly Fleetwood and Laura Worrall have decided to challenge ourselves by taking part in the MacMillan Lake District Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer. This is a 25 mile hike starting in Penrith, we hike towards the top of Gowborrow and around Ullswater, this will certainly be an ambitious task but we’re looking forward to the challenge!

We decided it would be easier to fundraise together. However, as this just giving page was already set up for the hike we have changed it to a ‘group’ sponsorship page. We would be so grateful if you could help us reach our £750 pledge, which can pay for three Macmillan Nurses for a day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
