We’re doing a 10k to raise money for Northern Greyhound Rescue… why? Well read on.

For those of you that don’t know. Back in 2020 we adopted a beautiful ex-racing greyhound whom we re-named Marty.

Our world revolved around him and he brought us such immense joy with his sensitive personality. He was often referred to as a ‘gentle giant’.

Alas, due to renal failure we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go in July.

We donated much of his stuff; blankets, a bed, food, treats and toys to Northern Greyhound Rescue to enable them to continue their good work for the many greyhounds that need loving homes.

To help us with our grief and to help NGR to continue what they do we have signed up to do the Wigan 10k.

Daily ‘Marty Walk’ updates made many people very happy on the socials, so we’re going to turn Marty Walk into Marty Run, in honour of one amazingly beautiful, loving dog.
