Story
This October, Helena, Cameron and Laura are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of Helena’s dad, Adam Szpytman, who died suddenly in 2021 from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) at just 58 years old.
Losing him so unexpectedly has been devastating, and we want to honour his memory by raising money for SADS UK, a charity that supports people affected by SADS & other inherited cardiac conditions. They provide defibrillators, lifesaving training & Post CPR support. SADS UK fund vital research into identifying & treating complex conditions that can cause sudden death.
SADS can strike without warning, even in seemingly healthy people. Every year, it takes the lives of around 500 people in the UK - often with no prior symptoms.
We’re running for Adam, and for every family who has suffered a similar loss. Any support you can give means the world to us.
Thank you so much.
