Story
Hello lovely friends! Thanks for visiting my page. On the 1st of May, it will be 123 days since I had my heart attack and emergency stent. Since then, I’ve been concentrating on getting my heart strong enough for a heart bypass operation. Part of my current cardio rehab exercises is walking, which I truly enjoy. I aim to walk about a mile a day, and the great thing is that I can do this while raising money for the British Heart Foundation at the same time.
I would be incredibly grateful for your support. The British Heart Foundation has played a vital role in halving the number of people dying from heart and circulatory diseases in the UK. However, every day, hundreds of lives are still lost due to these conditions. It is only through the generosity of people like us that the BHF can continue to create new treatments and discover new cures.
My target is to raise £500 for this important cause as part of the 'Walk for Hearts' event starting on May 1st, 2025. Just £24 could fund two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound makes a difference. Please consider giving what you can to help me reach my goal and support this life-saving work. Thanks… love Helena xx
