Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m running the Great North Run in support of Diabetes UK, in loving memory of my Nana, who was taken far too young by diabetes.

While treatment and care have improved over the years, diabetes is still a serious and life-changing condition. It affects millions of people in the UK every day and can lead to devastating complications. Research is vital to improve treatments, prevent complications, and ultimately work towards a cure — so that fewer families have to experience the loss ours did.

Training won’t be easy, I'm battling a few health problems of my own including a chronic autoimmune disease. There will be tough days, but that makes finishing the Great North Run even more meaningful.

I’m doing this for my Nana — and for everyone living with diabetes today.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small the amount, I would be so grateful. Your support will help fund life-changing research and vital support services through Diabetes UK.

Thank you for reading, supporting, and cheering me on.
