This year we have been thinking about loving our enemy at Step. Many of the team and supporters have been wearing their rival football team kit for the day to raise money for Step.

My fundraiser is a little bit different though because I don't have a rival football team because I don't support a team because I HATE football!!! I haven't watched any football games since leaving home and I've never watched a game by choice.

To the absolute horror of those who love football or even mildly support it I haven't watched any world cup or euros game regardless of where England are placing.

So I am reluctantly taking part in the fundraiser pledging that I will a football t-shirt of the team that gets the most votes through donations and votes from students at one of the school we work with.

Each pound donation is worth one vote and it will go towards which ever team you choose in your donation comment. I will be wearing the t-shirt with the most votes on Friday 13th March where we have both a retreat day and evening event for young people.

However I'm also pledging one step further... If I raise £500 or more I will watch one England World Cup 2026 game.

If I raise £1,000 or more I will watch two England World Cup 2026 games.

If I raise £5,000 or more I will watch all the England World Cup 2026 games plus the final cup match (regardless of who is playing).
