Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and donating to the East Timor Hearts Fund! I discovered this charity through Eliza’s heart surgeon , Mr Andrew Cochrane, who donates his time and surgical expertise to patients in various islands neighbouring Australia, including East Timor. In addition ,the charity also supports patients travelling to Australian hospitals and receiving medical treatment here. When Eliza was a baby at the children’s hospital a boy from a remote pacific island was in the bed next to her awaiting life saving surgery that was unavailable in his country. (Possibly paid for by this charity.) We are so lucky in Melbourne to have world class medical heart treatment available to us here and that’s why I chose this worthwhile charity.
