I’m taking on this 10km walk for Tommy’s in memory of my daughter, Maila.

Maila was stillborn at 36 weeks and 5 days. I’m fundraising not only for Maila, but for every baby who is gone too soon, and for every family navigating the unimaginable reality of loss.

Tommy’s does vital work funding research, supporting families, and working towards a future where fewer parents have to experience this kind of heartbreak. Right now, too many babies are still dying, and too many families are left without the support they need.

This walk is a way for me to honour my daughter’s life and continue that mission to make sure no baby is forgotten, and no parent feels alone in their grief.
