With a special milestone birthday approaching and wanting to set myself a personal challenge, I thought why not join a colleague - Sophy's mad hatched plan to 'Walk 5 marathons over 5 days in May.' Although a slightly bonkers idea, I love walking and it is definitely a challenge and a half. I will be joining three colleagues to do the walks across Kent, Surrey and Sussex to raise funds for the amazing charity Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex that we work for.

I will absolutely need to train for this so I will be putting in the miles between now and May, so if you fancy a hike up the Downs or somewhere (of course with pub stops along the way) please do keep me company.

However, more importantly please help me raise as much as I can for this challenge. I’m supporting Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS), a charity I work for and feel passionately about.

Why KSS?

As your local air ambulance charity we're not part of the NHS and are almost entirely funded by the community we serve. Our helicopters are flying emergency rooms. When there’s a life-or-death call, we bring specialised doctors, paramedics, and treatment to the scene, fast. And we don’t stop 24/7, 365 days a year.

But without the support of people like you, they can’t get off the ground. Our support gets our lifesaving team to where they’re urgently needed.

Without us, we can’t keep flying. Without us, we can’t save lives.
