Story
This summer Jorge and I will be cycling from London to Roubaix over 4 days, raising money in support of Action Medical Research. We’ve supported Action for a number of years now, but this year, more than ever, feels more poignant. Action are the leading UK-wide charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people.
This year Jorge and I welcomed Rosie into our family - a health baby born at full term. But had it not been for medical intervention at 21 weeks, this wouldn’t have been the case. Rosie tried to make an early escape - but this was picked up by ultrasound, which was developed by Action Medical! Amongst a host of other things, Action are researching factors in premature birth, and also treatments to help babies who are born prematurely.
It’s a privilege to be able to help support Action. We’d love any donation you can make to the team this year.

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. For 65 years we’ve helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Our research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But we urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and we can’t do it without you.
Join our fight for little lives.
