Story

Rachel, Jack and I are raising money in memory of my late godmother Janey Watson (Jack's mum) who sadly passed away in June this year. Janey used to volunteer for Home Start Essex and many have such wonderful memories of her support, companionship and compassion given to numerous families over the years.

Home-Start Essex provide support to children and families within Essex who may be living in poverty, suffering from domestic abuse, have physical or learning disabilities, have been rehomed/living in temporary accommodation, struggling with mental/physical health issues or suffering with social isolation. Since the pandemic Home-Start have seen a dramatic increase in demand of their services by 134% so rely on donations to continue these critical services.

We will be undertaking a 30K walk circumnavigating the whole of Saffron Walden (the town where Janey lived) beginning bright and early on the morning of Saturday 12th October. We are grateful for any donations and are hoping the weather gods will be kind to us on the day!
