As someone who was once a vet nurse (in the days before social media added even more pressure), I truly appreciate how much more stressful veterinary life must be these days.

Having seen at first hand the tragic devastation caused to a close veterinary friend's family due to severe mental illness, I am delighted to be able to use my skills as a pet photographer to help fundraise for such a worthy cause. 

VetLife is an amazing charity that gives support and information to people within the veterinary community who may be struggling in one way or another. Compared to the general population, there is evidence of elevated psychological distress in the veterinary profession with higher levels of:

• Anxiety

• Depressive symptoms

• Suicidal thoughts

• Suicide risk

I will be donating just 5 pet portrait experiences each month for the duration of the fundraiser to fit around my daily commissions. Once a month's spaces are filled, we'll operate a waiting list.
