Hele’s Combined Cadet Force: 24-Hour Cycle for Motor Neurone Disease
On the 27th and 28th of June 2025, staff and senior cadets from Hele’s Combined Cadet Force will take on a 24-hour non-stop cycling challenge—riding two static bikes in shifts at a local gym—to raise money for our local Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association branch.
Motor Neurone Disease is a devastating condition that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement, eventually leading to severe loss of mobility. For those living with MND, even simple everyday tasks can become incredibly difficult. While progression varies, the condition is always life-changing—every year, a third of people with MND die, and half pass away within two years of diagnosis. There is still no cure.
This year, staff and senior cadets at Hele’s CCF have chosen to support the MND Association, recognising the urgent need for funding, care, and research. Through this effort, we hope to raise awareness and make a meaningful contribution to those affected by this illness and the people who support them.
Your donation will go directly to our local MND Association branch, helping to fund care, equipment, support services, and research toward better treatments.
We know the challenge ahead won’t be easy—but it’s nothing compared to what people with MND face every day.
Please support us if you can. Every pound makes a difference.
