Story
After 10 years, at the young age of 60, our dear friend and colleague Ramesh retired from Helios last August. He left his day job of Accounting to enjoy travelling with his wife and pursue his many hobbies. Throughout his life, Ramesh has pursued acting as a side job and has been seen in many TV productions - such as Eastenders and The Crown - as well as many other British and international TV and film productions.
Sadly, within a few months he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Since then, Ramesh has deteriorated rapidly. He has now been unable to walk for several months, is struggling to speak and is unable to breathe independently. It has severely limited his ability to live a full life.
Ramesh is surrounded by a rich network of family and friends who are supporting him. Feeling helpless and keen to do something positive, we are raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association which are striving to find a cure to this devastating illness, as well as raising awareness and supporting patients and their families.
Please support the cause by donating and join us on Saturday 17th June at Northala Park, UB5 at 10.30am to walk in support of MNDA.
His Friends and Colleagues are committing to run, walk, cycle or swim a total of 3,000 kilometres by 17th June to support this cause!
