19km Run on the Road to Vietnam

19km Run on the Road to Vietnam · 9 June 2023
In 2003, I went to Vietnam with Project Trust as a Volunteer English-teacher. That incredible year and the brilliant people I met has impacted every decision I have made since. I am forever grateful.
For the past 12 years, I have been in the privileged position of getting to see the power of Project Trust on the next generation of young people. There are too many stories to share of the life-transforming impact living and volunteering within a community has on the individual. Safe to say, I have seen the growth of hundreds of Volunteers who have gone on to be the Changemakers of the future.
It is heart-breaking to think that due to the fall-out from Covid and the cost-of-living crisis, future generations might not have the same opportunity I did. Please join me in helping to safeguard the future of this incredible charity.
I have chosen to challenge myself to run 19km – taking in all the Vietnamese restaurants Manchester has to offer – maybe treating myself to a bowl of Pho at the end. I haven’t run much more than 5km this year, so it is going to be quite the challenge.
