Story
We have just adopted our third ex-street dog from Greece through Big Paws Welfare - part of Saving Saints Rescue UK 🐾 these larger dogs have an incredibly hard life in Greece and often a very short life expectancy due to cruel acts from people who don’t want them around. This rescue is hard-working, open, transparent and genuine and they are making a difference.
Our newest family member, Talisker, was lucky. She was found with her 2 sisters by a wonderful rescuer who was able to raise their profile and open the possibility of adoption for them. Sadly, when she went to collect Tali for us, one of her sisters was found dead and Tali herself was suffering with parvovirus. After a long stint in the vets she finally was healthy enough to begin her journey home.
The rescue were able to raise enough money to also get her remaining sister into the shelter alongside her - Branwen, a GSD-type girl. However, despite the rescues efforts, Branwen remains at risk of being put back out on the street 💔
Our biggest hope is that we can raise the required £680 travel costs to allow her to come here and find a foster home. This would ensure that she was finally safe and both sisters will have the chance that their other sister didn’t 😞
If anyone can donate anything towards helping, I would be so, so grateful - we can’t give up on her.
Thank you x
