We are a team of students setting up this expedition to raise money for Help for Heroes. By taking this opportunity, we are all stepping out our comfort zone, spending time away from the comforts of our homes and families, just like those before us, aiming to fund the charity which provides active service personnel, veterans and their families with support, covering physically, psychologically and financially. Each individual taking part has aspirations of joining the British Military, such as the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and the British Army, each holding their own respective roles and responsibilities. This charity is close to our personal lives due to their impactful work, which may aid us within the future after our careers.

This expedition entails a 3 day journey along various terrain, exploring the beautiful Peak District, covering its Nine Edges available to see, giving a total of 22 miles (35km). However, we felt that the B-29 Superfortress Memorial Site has to be visited to pay our respects and gratitude to the men and women who participated in their duties, giving their tomorrow's for our today's in times of desperation and conflict. This brings an addition to our total distance, reaching 34 linear miles (54km) and 5,800ft (1775m) in elevation. Nights will be spent on the grassland that vastly spans across the route using equipment found within the expeditions completed by the services during training. Each member will be carrying their supplies, adding to their mass, making the challenge just that little bit harder, whilst also replicating an experience faced by those who served to keep us safe.

During our journey, media documentation will be taken through the use of photos and videos to show the accomplishments and the stunning sights. We aim to deliver this footage to Help For Heroes to display on their socials to inspire others to partake in similar activities, aiding multiple charities and supporting many people.
