Dogs' Friends is a charity that rescues and re-homes hundreds of dogs each year in the Bristol, Bath and Somerset areas. All our helpers are volunteers and without donations from dog lovers we simply could not afford to rescue as many as we do. May we please rely on your support? Thank you.

Story

Dogs Friends is a small, mostly volunteer run rescue. They help so many dogs who are turned away by the big rescues with huge bank accounts. They don’t choose to just help the cute little dogs who will easily get adopted, they take on dogs that nobody else will help, usually at great expense, often unwell dogs like Bertie who was turned away by the big rescue charities because of his lymphoma. Dogs Friends agreed to give their backing immediately.

Merlin arrived in Dogs Friends care with a significant tail injury and was immediately take to the vets and underwent an amputation. A costly surgery that was doing so well at his last check 2 days ago but sadly it has broken down and will likely need a further surgery on Monday.

If anyone can spare a few quid to help towards this next surgery it would be fantastic! This boy is just the sweetest little lad who’s had a rubbish start to life yet he is still so affectionate and happy.

Let’s help get Merlin fixed up!
