Former Liverpool, Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers footballer Stephen Darby and close friend and British Forces Veteran Chris Rimmer have partnered together to launch the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. Stephen and Chris both have Motor Neurone Disease and have created a Foundation to create awareness of MND, to fund and assist research into the illness with the quest of finding a cure for the illness, to raise funds and offer grants to those with MND, as well as creating a network to help provide information and emotional support network for those diagnosed with the disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Please support Gary and I in our efforts to raise as much as possible for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation to help the vital work they do supporting MND research and those affected by this terrible condition like Stephen himself.

Gary & I are friends, colleagues, football fans and training partners at our local gym. We challenged ourselves to do the Great North Run and we decided we shouldn't miss the chance to help a charity.

As a lifelong supporter (sufferer) of Bradford City I could not miss the opportunity to support Stephen's foundation. I was lucky enough to see Stephen play so many times for my team. The finest and most honest professional player in the Parkinson era from 2012-2017.

Please support our cause all donations warmly appreciated (please do also use gift aid to boost the value of your donation too) and be assured that we will be training hard for this challenge and will give our all on the day to show our gratitude for the many kind donations made to our chosen cause.

Will & Gary.
