❤️Help for Hearts: A Journey of Gratitude ❤️
In September 2025, our world changed forever, though the path was set months earlier. During our 20-week scan we received the news that no parent is prepared for, our son would be born with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) known as Tetralogy of Fallot. In an instant what was a routine milestone turned into a life of uncertainty and fear.
Our son was born at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI), but was quickly transferred to the Children’s Heart Unit at the Freeman Hospital to receive specialist care. Because he was so small, his medical team first performed a temporary stent insertion via catheter, at just 5 days old, to maintain his heart function, giving him the vital time he needed to grow bigger and stronger.
Over the following months we spent weeks within the walls of the Freeman and finally, at just four and a half months old, he was ready for the definitive challenge: open-heart surgery. It was this procedure that ultimately saved his life and allowed us to finally look toward the future.
We will never truly be able to repay the surgeons, doctors, and nurses at the Freeman for giving our son the gift of life but after witnessing their tireless dedication and meeting so many other inspirational "Heart Hero" families, I just knew I had to give something back.
🏆 The Mission: CHUF
I am raising funds for the Children’s Heart Unit Fund (CHUF). They work directly with the Freeman, providing the equipment, facilities, and support that allow this world-class team to continue their life-saving work.
🏃♂️ The 2026 Challenges
To say "thank you," I’ve set myself three massive challenges this year to push me to my limits, just as the team at the Freeman pushes the boundaries of care every day:
1️⃣ The National Three Peaks Challenge (April 11-12th): Climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales—all within 24 hours.
2️⃣ British 24-Hour Karting Race (August 8-9th): Joining a team of ex-racers to compete against 80+ teams from around the world in a true test of endurance.
3️⃣ Manchester Half Marathon (October 4th): Swapping the racing seat for running shoes to cross the finish line for CHUF.
You can follow my progress on my social media pages where I will post regular updates regarding each event.

🙏 How You Can Help
Our son is here today because of the expertise at the Freeman. Please help me ensure other families get that same second chance.
Whether it’s £1 or £100, every penny goes toward supporting the incredible work of the Children’s Heart Unit Fund.
Thank you for your support, your donations, and for being part of our journey. Let’s do this!
