Story
No child should have to fight for their life at just five years old—but today, Manatsak is.
Hi, my name is Aarush, I'm 11 Years Old and fundraising for a little boy I met during a family trip to Thailand.
My grandad is a member of Lions International and belongs to Fairlop Lions Club. I am incredibly proud of the work he does for charity, and he inspires me to make a difference and help others in need.
While visiting Phuket, I had the opportunity to meet a five-year-old boy named Manatsak Praving through the Lions Club charity organisation. He is the youngest of three children and lives with his single mother in a small village.
Sadly, Manatsak is battling leukaemia. Although he was previously in remission, his cancer has returned, and he now urgently needs a bone marrow transplant. Thankfully, a donor has been found, but he still faces a long and difficult journey ahead.
Due to his extremely weak immune system, he can no longer attend school and must remain at home to avoid infection.
Meeting Manatsak truly touched my heart, especially as he is the same age as my younger brother, Krrish. Seeing what he and his family are going through made me want to do something to help.
Every single penny raised will go directly towards supporting children with cancer through the Lions Club. All Lions Club members are volunteers, meaning no funds are taken for administration or other costs.
If more money is raised than needed for Manatsak’s treatment, the remaining funds will go towards helping other children and families facing similar battles.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read, support, and share this page. Any donation, big or small, will truly make a difference.
