Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

As someone who hated running the 1500m race in Sports Day back at high school, I can’t quite believe that I’m saying this…. But I am running the London Marathon next year! 🏃🏼‍♀️

I am running the marathon in support of Sense. As a primary teacher, I have the privilege of working with many children with special needs and disabilities and nothing makes me happier than seeing them grow, progress and smash their milestones.

Sadly I also see lots of challenges they/their families face due to a lack of funding to schools and communities. That’s why I’m running for Sense; to help ensure that every child and family gets the opportunities, resources and care they deserve.

I’d appreciate literally ANY donation, no matter how big or small. It will make such a difference and keep me motivated through the 26.2 miles ahead…
